Dr. Talavera obtained his Degree in Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria of Lima, Peru (National Engineering University of Lima, Peru) majoring in Electronics. He got his MBA at the Graduate School of Business ESAN (Lima-Peru). Later he worked on his Ph.D. at the Pennsylvania State University, obtaining his Doctoral Degree with academic honors. He was also the Dean of the Adolfo Ibañez University, one of the leading academic institutions in Chile and in Latin America. He has been the Executive Director and President of CLADEA for ten years.
Maria Baltar serves as Assistant Vice President, Accreditation Operations and Implementation at AACSB International. She oversees a portfolio of over 50 schools in Latin America and the United States. Maria’s career spans over 20 years and includes management experience in the hospitality and wholesale IT distribution industries. She has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida and an MBA from the University of Tampa.
Friedemann Schulze-Fielitz spent five years in the EFMD accreditation department managing the operations of the EFMD programme accreditation system and eventually co-developed and launched the EFMD mentoring service for Business Schools (EDAF-EFMD Deans Across Frontiers). Friedemann knows business education from the accreditor’s perspective and is a product of the industry itself holding an MBA from one of Europe’s best Business Schools – HEC Paris.
Eric Talavera is currently the Executive Director and Board Member of EQUAA, an international agency with the mission to accredit educational units such as faculties and higher education business schools taking into account the context. As a consultant in British Council Peru during 2015, he supported the process of calling for research funding in order to bring together researchers and Peruvian institutions with their counterparts in the UK. He also holds a Master in Research Program for the PHD in Management Sciences
Joseph Franch is a renowned expert in international marketing and global marketing, with the management of global brands as his area of specialization. From an educational point of view, he is one of the main experts in the case study method. Author of numerous practical cases in the field of international marketing, some of which are available through The Case Centre, he has won the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) Case Writing Competition three times and also has three case writing awards at the NACRA (North American Case Research Association) Annual Conference.
Mariella holds a Ph.D. from Tilburg University in The Netherlands, an MBA from University du Quebec at Montreal, Canada, a master’s degree in Economics from UNALM in Peru and a Bachelor in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica Del Perú (PUCP). Her research interest is in the area of Information Management, Management Global Education, virtual teams, cross-cultural studies and Internationalization strategies in Higher Education. Currently, she is Professor in the School of Economics and Management and she is the Coordinator in ESAN of the Erasmus Link You+ Project to improve employability between Europe and Latin America.
As CEO of the Global Business School Network, Dan LeClair is leading efforts to improve access to quality, locally relevant management education for the developing world. Prior to GBSN, he helped transform AACSB from a US accrediting body to a global thought leader and internationally-respected quality assurance agency. His 19 years of experience at AACSB includes two and half years as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, seven years as Chief Operating Officer, and five years as Chief Knowledge Officer. Prior to joining AACSB, Dan was a tenured associate professor of economics and associate dean at the University of Tampa. Writing on game theory and information, Dan earned a PhD in economics from the University of Florida.
Dr. Octavio Ibarra Consuegra, is a Business Administrator, Marketing Specialist and Master in Business Administration, from Universidad Del Norte. He also has a Master in Philosophy and a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Hull, in England. He has been working for 18 years with Universidad Del Norte, being named in 2010 as dean of the Business School. Likewise, he works as a teacher and researcher in the area of Marketing, Branding and Retail Management. He is president of CLADEA.
Joanne Li, as dean, leads the college’s Landon Undergraduate School and Chapman Graduate School, as well as its executive education, global learning and small business development programs, such as the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center and Florida SBDC at FIU. She served as Dean of Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. There, she developed innovative programs designed to accelerate the college’s role in economic and workforce development and was recognized by the Dayton Business Journal as one of Dayton’s Power 50 Women and was named one of 100 Dayton’s Women Influencers by the Lean In Chapter, Dayton.
Prof. Dr. Norman de Paula Arruda Filho is a PhD in Business Management Applied by the Higher Institute of Labor and Enterprise Sciences (ISCTE), Portugal, Masters in Business and Public Management by the Brazilian School of Public Administration and Business, Getúlio Vargas Foundation – EBAPE. During his professional trajectory, he was Regional Coordinator of Urban Development Programs for Banco Nacional de Habitação (BNH – National Housing Bank) a federal agency of social investments.
Mr. Pappacena has 35+ years of global business experience and worked in 50+ countries throughout his career advising C-level executives in multinational companies in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Currently, he is the CEO of Cani Investments LLC and an Adjunct Professor of Strategy & International Business at FIU.
Claudio Muruzabal has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. He leads SAP Latin America in helping businesses across the region thrive through digital innovation. He is Junior Achievement Americas Co-Chair and serves on the Council of the Americas Board, holds a Global Executives MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a major in Business Administration and Accounting from the Catholic University of Argentina. He was named to the 100 Most Powerful Business People of Latin Trade Magazine.
Moncau graduated in Business Administration, with specialization in Marketing, and began a long and successful career in Microsoft 24 years ago, leading areas of marketing, sales and operations, in Brazil, Chile and USA. Moncau first joined Microsoft Brazil as Direct Sales and Support Manager, implementing Sales Capabilities and to accelerate market penetration as the company started to operate in retail, he soon became group product manager. He would go on to lead profitable units including his role as Chile’s Country General Manager.
Darren Ware is an experienced professional focused on Cisco’s Public Sector business in Latin America. He has two areas of focus in his business development activity: digitization and cybersecurity. He engages with local and national governments across the region to help them prioritize their digital transformation initiatives. His focus areas include understanding macroeconomic and industry trends affecting enterprise technology, federal technology best practices, emerging cities, and cybersecurity.
Dr. Cousins is recognized for her research on mobile technologies and the legal and regulatory issues impacting the use and innovation of information technology. She worked in a professional capacity at Deloitte, CDW, Alcan, the Airports Authority of Jamaica and the Entrepreneurial Law Center at the Northwestern University School of Law. She is co-founder of ITWomen NextGen at FIU, an organization dedicated to increasing the number of women and girls in technology careers.
Jerry Haar is a professor and Executive Director of the Office of Executive & Professional Education, in the College of Business, Florida International University. He is also a Global Fellow of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and a non-resident senior research fellow at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He held visiting appointments at Wharton, Harvard, Oxford, Stanford, and the American Enterprise Institute and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Brazil.

Hanna McLeod has been with AACSB International since 2011 and currently serves as its senior manager, research. She is responsible for the planning and execution of organizational research initiatives, as well as provides leadership for development of research partnerships. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of South Florida and a MA in Cultural Studies – Trans-Atlantic Relations from the Jagiellonian University in Poland. Some of her current research interests include lifelong learning, leadership development, and emerging innovations in educational delivery.
Dr. Susan Amat is the Executive Director of GEN Accelerates and the VP for Education at the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN). A serial entrepreneur, she built media businesses for over a decade, including the first CD-Rom magazine and a national television show. She actively speaks about entrepreneurship and international innovation education. She worked with the US State Department, the Kauffman Foundation, and the World Bank on program development, training, and evaluation. In 2012, the White House honored Dr. Amat as a Champion of Change.
